Our German language courses in Munich (München) run from Monday to Friday and the number of classes per day depends on the type of course you choose.

Our teachers are all native German speakers, hold a University Degree and have extensive experience in teaching German language and culture to foreign students.

Our school of German in Munich offers group intensive courses at 10 levels, from beginners to advanced, throughout the year. Each level corresponds to 4 weeks of study.

Each course module starts from the beginning every month. For the start date for beginners please see Prices. Start date for participants with previous language knowledge (placement in on-going courses) is possible on each Monday.

Lessons are held from Monday to Friday, except on public holidays. Classes that have to be canceled due to public holidays will not be replaced.

At the end of the course you will be given a certificate of attendance indicating the length, intensity and level of your course.

Course 24h
Our Intensive German language course consists of 24 training units per week in a group. One training unit lasts 45 minutes. You will learn in a group of normally between 8 and 12 adults from various countries. Groups never contain more than 15 participants. The minimum age for taking part in our courses is 18 (in Summer: 16). Tuition will be in German and will focus on practical functions. All teaching materials will be provided free of charge.

In our group language course at the basic level you will work mainly with a textbook, in the intermediate and upper levels, more and more additional material is used (from newspapers, magazines etc.). In this course you will learn and practice vocabulary and grammar; reading and writing as well as listening and speaking will be part of your lessons, too.
As training units generally take place in the morning, the afternoon is free for your private or professional activities.

This course is also suitable as preparatory course for university attendance/DSH/TestDaF

Course 24+5h or Course 24+10h
These superintensive German language courses combine an Intensive German Group Course with 24 teaching units per week with additional 5 or 10 one-to-one lessons a week.

The content of the individual lessons will be tailor-made to suit your needs and wishes. The individual lessons will normally be held during the afternoon. The times will be allotted in agreement with the Centre Director. The lessons usually take place in blocks of 2 - 3 teaching units. The minimum booking term for Superintensive Courses is one week.

Executive Course

One week intensive course consisting of 40 lessons of one-to-one tuition. 1 lesson = 45 min.

- taking into account individual learning requirements using authentic materials
The course also includes 5 lunches with the trainer to help simulate real-life business/social situations.

- Business Language
There are four seminars in German for the Workplace, each lasting two weeks, in Munich that are aimed at those employees who work in an international environment and who would like more confidence when it comes to talking on the phone, presenting products and services or carrying out negotiations. Students who need business German for the start of their career can also profit from these seminars. Practical training that actively involves the student is carried out in the classroom. Project work and excursions into the business world give the students real life situations where they can use what they have learned. The prerequisite for this course is a good basic knowledge of German at least equivalent to level B1. The seminars are carried out in February, April, June, and October.

Art and Language in Munich
Do you appreciate art? Would you like to go to see exceptional exponents from the world of art together with a small group of people who feel the same way you do? Even better, do you think it would be good to have a knowledgeable guide and to be able to talk about what you see with the others in the group? If this is something that you would enjoy, then the two-week intensive course "Art and Language" at our school of German in Munich is exactly the right thing for you!

To be able to really have fun and learn a bit about art, too, you should have a sound basis in German (skills at the intermediate level) and, above all, have a strong interest in art and culture.

The lessons do not just take place in the traditional classroom. By taking part in excursions, doing your own research and attending cultural events, you will experience the culture and daily life in the city of Munich first hand.

Within the framework of this course, we will offer you a selection of:

  * thematically oriented tours of the city of Munich,
  * visits to locations of importance to the history of art, e.g., Residenz, Pinakothek der Moderne, Lenbachhaus.

Should you be interested, our school in Munich will also organize:

  * a day-long excursion to the world-famous sights of Upper Bavaria, e.g., the castles Neuschwanstein and Herrenchiemsee, the “Russian house” in Murnau, the Franz-Marc-Museum in Kochel am See, etc.
  * trips to cultural events, e.g., opera, theater, concerts.

The course includes 24 teaching units per week of 45 minutes each. In addition, there are theme-specific excursions.

For at least 5 participants, the course is offered several times a year.
