 Our modern German language school in Cologne (Köln), with places for up to 160 students, is situated in the centre of town.
A short walk will take you to the Rhine, the cathedral and the historical old part of town with numerous monuments from the Roman and mediaeval ages. There are many different types of restaurants and shops in all price ranges near our school.
Our school of German in Cologne has very well-equipped, friendly classrooms and a large media library with numerous computers and educational programs, a library, a video library and a comprehensive amount of study material.
In our cafeteria, you quickly get to know participants from other courses. In our secretary's office we offer you e-mail and fax service and help you with all other questions.

 You can stay in a shared apartment, in a hall of residence (hostel) or with a host family for the duration of your language course. As a rule, the arrival date is on the Sunday afternoon before the beginning of course (unless its a public holiday). The departure is on the Saturday morning after the end of the course.
Shared apartments
A single room in shared accommodation: You live together in a flat with other young people, often other students. Each tenant has his/her own furnished room whilst the kitchen, bathroom and toilet are shared. You have the possibility of preparing your own meals. You are responsible for the cleaning of your room whilst the shared areas of the flat should be cleaned by all the tenants.
Private accommodation in host families
Almost all families live outside the city centre (journey time to the school: 15 - 45 minutes). The majority of them live in detached houses and rent out one or two, or in isolated cases up to five, furnished rooms.
You will live in a single room, bed linen and hand towels are provided. You can choose between a room without meals, with breakfast or at half board.
The bathroom is usually shared with the landlord's family and/or with other tenants; in isolated cases there is a separate bathroom.
Halls of residence:
Apartments with self-catering facilities. Arrival before 10:00 p.m. during the week, arrival at the weekend must be previously arranged. Furnished double rooms for individual use. All rooms with shower and WC, own kitchenette. Bed linen is provided. Telephone in all rooms. No breakfast service. Age limit: aged 27 or under. Distance to Centre: approx. 20 minutes by public transport

 Cologne is a town for young people. Open air concerts, street theatre, and beer-gardens attract thousands of visitors in the summer. Student pubs, discos and live music draw people to Cologne all year round.
In Cologne, over two thousand years of history await you, as well as the facilities of a modern economic and cultural centre: important trade fairs and exhibitions, famous museums, many large and small theatres.
Cologne is well known because of its "Karneval". The openness of the Cologne people towards visitors is legendary.
Cologne lies on the Rhine in the west of Germany. It is within easy reach of its western neighbours - France, Belgium and the Netherlands - and other German cities.
Cologne is also the ideal point of departure for day trips to the romantic Rhine with its castles and palaces, to wine tasting sessions on the Mosel or to the mediaeval towns in the delightful hilly countryside of the Eifel and the Bergisches Land regions surrounding Cologne.

 In addition to your language course, our German language school in Cologne offer you a leisure programme full of cultural and sporting activities.
A weekly programme of excursions gives you the chance to get to know the culture and history of Cologne as well as companies and institutions. Weekend excursions will take you to the surrounding area.
The monthly International Party gives you a chance to meet participants from all the courses as well as German guests.
Moreover, our language school organises all types of sports events, from weekly football matches, to individual games of tennis, riding lessons and other similar activities.
Events held in the school are usually free of charge. Trips and excursions are usually offered at cost price.
In addition, course participants are given regular information and advice on the cultural and leisure scene in and around Cologne.
