Our German language school in Augsburg (Bayern) was founded in 1980. Since then, students from more than 100 nations have attended courses at our institute. We are very glad that we have been able to help so many people from all over the world to learn German. But we also have many reasons to be grateful to our guests: every day we find out more about a huge variety of cultures and mentalities, something that greatly enriches our own lives.

Our attractive teaching rooms on two floors are situated in a quiet residential area near the city centre. Just a few minutes away from the splendid Maximilianstraße and the Siebentischwald, a picturesque park, you will learn German in an attractive environment.

Our school of German is commissioned by the University of Augsburg to conduct German lessons as part of the international Summer Course held at the university, as well as the preparation course for Erasmus students.

Augsburg is a cosmopolitan city, with a typical free and easy South German atmosphere. The Swabian influence and its modern multi-cultural flair give Augsburg a charm of its own. This appealing university town with its medieval centre offers not only numerous cultural highlights such as popular literature festivals, large exhibitions of the work of internationally renowned artists or concerts by famous orchestras, but also enough pubs, cinemas, discos and beer gardens to guarantee many convivial evenings.

Our method is simple and convincing. It is based on the experience gained from over 20 years of teaching German as a foreign language:

- highly qualified and committed native speakers as teachers, whose priority is the interests of the learners
- academically based, appealing material
- a relaxed and cheerful working atmosphere, where the emphasis is on plenty of practice
- natural communication in the foreign language German right from the first lesson
- helpful explanations and motivating tasks for the learners
- small classes with an average of 8-12 students
- up to 14 different course levels and a careful assessment of level in consultation with the learners
- weekly achievement tests and individual feedback for each student
- a responsible head of teaching, who, through his experience and academic qualifications, guarantees that all the teachers structure their teaching in the best possible way
- a director who is always open to suggestions and questions from her customers.

If desired, we will provide you with addresses of German host families. These families are happy to receive guests throughout the year and offer you the chance to experience family life in Germany. In consultation with your hosts, you may choose between a single or double room with half-board or full-board.

In Augsburg there is plenty of accommodation available in various halls of residence. These rooms can only be booked once you are in Augsburg; however, we are happy to advise you about rooms and will provide you with all the necessary information.

We can, of course, also book a room in a guest house or hotel for you. This reservation can be made before your arrival in Augsburg.

Airport transfer
The largest airport near Augsburg is Munich (about 60 km away), and if necessary we can organise a transfer from Munich airport to Augsburg for you. Please give us details of your exact arrival time, airline and flight number. You will be picked up at Munich airport by a local transfer organisation and taken to your accommodation in Augsburg.
